A little about my story...

I was born in California but raised in a small town in the center of Mexico called San Miguel el Alto. Growing up in such quite town as mine, I was complete unaware of the read more...

In 2006 I transferred to the University of California San Diego from the College of the Desert, a small community college at Palm Desert (about 2h northeast of San Diego). I graduated from UCSD with a B.Sc. Ecology, Behavior and Evolution over last summer, 2010.

I was away for practically half of my time in UCSD since I participated in three study abroad programs and one international research, all nearly or fully funded!!!

SWITZERLAND July - August 2008

University of Zurich - ETH, Zurich, SwitzerlandInternational Internship

COSTA RICA April - July 2009

Monteverde Institute, Monteverde, Costa Rica – Tropical Biology and Conservation Program

SOUTH AFRICA January - July 2010

University of Cape Town, Cape Town, South Africa – Immerse Program

I conducted research projects at all of these programs except for South Africa.

I performed further research at SIO while I was in San Diego during 2009 – 2010. I am currently preparing the manuscript for this project
